Volunteer

The Attleboro Y works side-by-side with our neighbors every day to make sure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. To do our important work, the Attleboro Y relies on support from members, donors, volunteers and community leaders.

Current Volunteer Opportunities

Attleboro Y Road Races & Healthy Kids Day: On Saturday, May 4th, the Y will host our annual 5K & 10K Road Races as well as Healthy Kids Day, a free community event to get the whole family moving. Each year, we rely on volunteers to help us put on this great event. If you’d like to volunteer at the races or kids events, please register as a volunteer or contact Cyndee Goodinson-Lindsey at cgoodinsonlindsey@attleboroymca.org.

Welcome Center Greeters and Tour Guides: Our Membership staff is looking for friendly, outgoing Y Members who love the Y and want to share their YMCA knowledge with others. This enthusiastic team of volunteers greet members at the desk and help new guests and potential members become more familiar with our programs and facilities. To volunteer for this position or learn more, contact Membership Director Laurie Osborne at (508) 409-0732 or losborne@attleboroymca.org.

New Member Welcome Committee: Help us welcome new members to the Attleboro Y! We’re searching for a team of Y Members who are willing to reach out to new members through phone calls and Member-to-Member Orientations to help our newest members become more familiar with the Y’s facilities, programs, and the extensive list of member benefits available to them. We’ll try to pair Welcome Committee volunteers with new members who share similar program interests or Health & Wellness goals. To volunteer for this position or learn more, contact Membership Director Laurie Osborne at (508) 409-0732 or losborne@attleboroymca.org.

Please note: In keeping with the Attleboro Y’s Child Protection Policy, you may be required to complete a CORI and SORI screening, depending on the volunteer position. Longtime members may not be subject to a SORI screening, as the Attleboro Y’s membership database is scanned against the national sex offender database through Raptor Technologies twice a year.
