The Attleboro Y has a thriving community of active older adults who make the Y and physical activity an important part of their healthy lifestyle. In fact, because we appreciate their commitment to healthy living, we offer senior members reaching their 76th birthday a membership price freeze for life!


Zumba Gold

Just like the original, Zumba Gold brings Latin moves and music to group exercise – but at a slower pace. Perfect for a beginner or the member who is just getting back into fitness.

Strength Conditioning Circuit for the Active Older Adults

This class is a combination of strength conditioning on the Nitro Line of Nau­tilus and cardio. Three minutes on the treadmill, bike, elliptical or Stairmaster then two sets on a piece of strength. This is repeated until all muscle groups have been worked.

Sit & Be Fit

This class is designed for the member who has difficulty standing for an extended period of time. Exercises for all major muscle groups and some aerobic activity are provided. Motivating music from the 20s to the present make this class a fit, fun and social experience for the member.

Golden Beats

Designed for older adults, this class is Drums Alive with less impact to the joints. Most moves can be done while seated. Same great workout!

Family Conditioning Walks/Runs

Everyone at their own pace! For Adults and Kids all ages. Choose from 3 options:
1. Participate in a 1 mile group walk
2. Walk 2 minutes, run 20 seconds…repeating over the mile course.
3. More Daring? A 1- or 2-mile group run.

Pickle Ball

Ages: 50+

If you’ve never picked up a pickle ball paddle, you don’t know what you’re missing! This cross between tennis, ping-pong, and badminton is easy to learn, but quickly brings out the competitor in all of us. This game has become very popular in retirement communities, because it allows players to maintain the thrill of competition, without some of the physical stress and injuries that other sports can cause.
