The Camp Pleasant “Counselor in Training” program is a leadership development opportunity for eligible older youth, ages 14 to 16, who are interested in serving a volunteer apprenticeship during the summer to learn the basics of a camp counselor position. Under the guidance and supervision of the assigned camp head counselors, the Counselor in Training will assist in the daily activities and supervision of the campers. Counselor in Training positions are offered on an application and selection basis by the Camp Director, scheduled on an as needed daily schedule based on camp registration, and contingent on quality of work, positive attitude, and commitment to the position. Upon selection into the Counselor In Training program, individuals are required to keep a weekly “Learning Log” documenting their learning experience throughout the summer.
Registration: C.I.T. candidates should contact Stephanie Bryant at (508) 409-0734 for an application.
