Attleboro YMCA 5K/10K Road Race

Attleboro YMCA 5K/10K Road Race

Now in its 36th running, the Attleboro YMCA Road Race returns on Saturday, May 5th. Both runners and walkers are welcome. 

Free T-shirt to first 100 registrants. Awards for overall winners, as well as the top three finishers in each age category. Additional prizes for the best sombrero, in honor of Cinco de Mayo!

Youth runners are invited to come early to run in the Strawberry Patch Run beginning at 8:00 a.m. Then stick around after the road race to participate in the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day event – free for all.

Date: Saturday, May 5, 2012

Race-day registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

5K: 9:00 a.m. start

10K: 9:45 a.m. start

Course information: This year’s course will follow the same historic route, marked by the timing company with splits given at mile one for the 5K race. For the 10K, splits will be given at the 2- and 4-mile marks. Click here for race maps.

Fees:  $25 for pre-registration, $30 for race-day registration

This income-based membership rate scale welcomes all individuals and families to become active members of the Y, no matter what their financial circumstances may be.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free 12 week program that connects cancer survivors within the community.  It provides a place where cancer survivors can come together, along with specially trained Attleboro YMCA staff, to safely work toward maintaining or regaining their independence, everyday fitness, and overall health & wellness.  It is held in a small group environment that incorporates one-on-one attention to the individual needs of each participant.

Schedule: The next session of LIVESTRONG at the YMCA will begin in March.
