Over the course of its 144-year history, the Attleboro YMCA has played a vital role in the Attleboro, Norton, and surrounding communities. All over town, people will tell you that the Y is the place to go for fitness, swimming, child care, camps, as well as youth and family programming. But why?
This is why: for youth development, for healthy living, and for social responsibility. All of our programs and services stem from this commitment to nurture the potential of every child and teen, to improve the nation’s health and well-being, and to give back and provide support to our neighbors.
For Youth Development
Instilling a sense of character, leadership, and values in our community’s children and teens is one of our focuses. Through positive role models and opportunities to explore their interests, we help children develop their own unique skills, encourage teamwork, and provide a safe and positive place to go.
For Healthy Living
Being healthy is about maintaining a balanced spirit, mind and body. Here at the YMCA, you’ll find a place where you can work toward that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or reach a new goal, fostering connections with friends, or bringing your loved ones closer together through our many family-centered activities.
For Social Responsibility
We know that when we work as one, we move people and communities forward. That’s why we’re committed to providing support to our neighbors and opportunities for kids, adults and families to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.
