WELCOME CENTER REPRESENTATIVES

The YMCA seeks friendly, reliable individuals to provide exceptional customer service to our members and guests. As the first person that our members meet or speak to when coming through the Y doors, the Welcome Center representative plays a crucial role in communicating with our members and serving as advocates for the YMCA and its programs.

All Welcome Center representatives must be comfortable with computer systems, enrolling members in programs, and accepting payments for programs and merchandise. Our early morning staff members are responsible for opening the facilities, while our evening staff members are responsible for securing the facilities at night.

The Y’s School’s Out program seeks applicants of 18 years and older to provide active and engaging after-school activities to school-age youth from 1st to 6th grade. Specific responsibilities include planning activities and clubs, and ensuring the safety and security of the children at all times while in compliance with the Y’s Child Protection Initiative. The Y seeks applicants who demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with both parents and children, who can ensure consistent behavior management, who can solve problems effectively with maturity, and who possess the ability to multi-task and work effectively with a group of children. We expect all of our Group Leaders to lead by example while displaying the YMCA core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility.
